I’m a Utahn—born and raised—with deep family roots in the state and a strong connection to the Park City community. My family founded and ran Utah’s first and longest-running brewery, Becker’s Beer, and we have a bit of ski history too! My family funded the first gelande ski jumping hill at Snowbasin, known as Becker Hill, and played a key role in bringing Alf and Sverre Engen (of Alta fame) to Utah. My great-grandmother was one of the first nurses at the Miners Hospital in Park City.

I learned to ski at Deer Valley when I was just two years old, and my family has divided their time between Park City and Salt Lake City since I was three. Twenty one years ago, my husband and I decided to make Park City our permanent home. I love this town—it has always held a special place in my heart.

I graduated from the University of Utah with a B.S. in Behavioral Science and Health. I was lucky enough to meet my amazing husband, Mike, while we were both students at the U. We have two awesome kids, Becker and Sage, and three English black labs: Olive, Max and Hank.

Professionally, I worked as a pharmaceutical sales representative for Abbott Laboratories, where I was able to blend my passions for healthcare and sales. After our kids were born, I chose to focus on being a stay-at-home mom and haven’t looked back. I’m passionate about community involvement, especially pedestrian safety, with a focus on Highway 224/Bear Hollow Drive. I believe that if you see a need and don’t stand up or try to make it better, you forfeit the right to complain.

I have a deep appreciation for public radio and believe KPCW is the heart of this town. I love KPCW and am truly honored to be part of this board.
